• Two-Part System:
  Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarWash: This high-performance cleaner removes dirt, grime, and UV-degrading residues from your tent, gear, and clothing. It works by lifting out dirt particles without damaging the water-repellent finish (DWR) of your fabrics.
  Nikwax Tent & Gear Solarproof Spray-On: This water-based waterproofing treatment re-activates and enhances the DWR of your tent, gear, and clothing. It creates a durable barrier that repels water, keeping you dry and your gear protected from the elements.
• Maximized Performance: By cleaning with SolarWash and then applying Solarproof, you ensure optimal performance of your gear. Clean fabrics allow the waterproofing treatment to bond more effectively, resulting in superior water repellency and breathability.
• Durable Water Repellency (DWR): Solarproof adds maximum water repellency to your fabrics, as tested to the highest industry standards. This translates to water beading up on the surface and rolling off, keeping you and your gear dry in wet conditions.
• UV Protection: Both SolarWash and Solarproof offer Ultraviolet (UV) protection. SolarWash helps remove UV-degrading residues, while Solarproof helps inhibit the breakdown of fabric fibers caused by UV rays, extending the lifespan of your gear.

How to use Nikwax’s Tent & Gear SolarWash®:

1. Erect the tent OR protect the working surface and lay the item flat.
2. Spray evenly to the outside of the fabric. For large items apply in sections.
3. Rub in well with a damp cloth/sponge, paying attention to particularly dirty areas.
4. Use a soft nylon brush if necessary to remove stubborn stains.
5. Rinse with clean water using a cloth or sponge.
6. Drying: Item(s) should be air-dried. Allow item(s) to fully dry before packing away. *Marks may appear on fabric if excess product is not wiped away. Test on a hidden area first. Use approximately 50ml of product per 1m2 of fabric.
7. The coverage is approximate and depends on the condition of the fabric being treated.

How to use Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarProof®:

1. For best results always clean item(s) first. No need to dry item(s) before waterproofing.
2. Protect the working surface and lay clean wet item flat, or erect the tent and wet.
3. Spray evenly to the outside of the fabric. Avoid rucksack straps.
4. Wait for 2 minutes. Remove any surplus product with a damp cloth.
5. Check carefully to ensure no areas have been missed.
6. After several minutes check for and remove surplus product with a damp cloth*.
7. *Marks may appear on fabric if excess product is not wiped away. Test on a hidden area first. Use approximately 50ml of product per 1m2 of fabric.
8. The coverage is approximate and depends on the condition of the fabric being treated. To maintain waterproofing always clean with Nikwax SolarWash. Do not use detergents.
9. To waterproof cotton, polycotton or canvas use Nikwax Cotton Proof™.
