Perfect timing to update

We bought this unit just before Christmas(2024) to go camping, which ended up on being a non-event. So to review the product and test it out. I set up our solar panels on the roof of our veranda on the deck. The unit is running a small (MR40F-G4) 40 liter 12v Engel fridge/freezer which did ran quite easily for 24 to 32 hours as a freezer. If it was to run as a fridge, I'm sure it would have run for a lot longer. The unit works well very well. Very, very happy. The power station has been running now for nearly 4 weeks without any problems, in not ideal conditions, very cloudy and off a 280 Watt panel, laying flat on the veranda roof not chasing the sun. The fast charging ability of the controller is very efficient and effective. The only con, I have, is the fact that they haven't got the dedicated Engel type 12v plug, in saying that I now just use the 240V plug. Very good unit for those extra days and extra items you need to run. I do highly recommend this power station for it's plug n play and very user friendly style controls.

Perfect timing to update

Have just purchased the Rover 1300 power station (Xmas 2024) for this year's camping (which was a non event) The unit is well made and designed, it's light enough to carry, it's easy to read the display and know what is going on in the power station. There is a fan which does work when charging on 240v some of the time, it's not very noisy at all. This unit was running my Engel fridge/freezer (model MR40F-G4) as a freezer for some 3 weeks now in not ideal conditions for solar changing, the panel (195W) only just keeps up with the Engels power needs, lying near flat on the verandah roof. Fully charged it will run our Engel for around 24-36 hr's. Running it as a fridge you should get a much longer duration. The only Con (for me) is the removal of the 12V Engel screw plug, but now I just plug it into the 240V outlet. This power station will take your camping (Glamping) to a whole new level. Cappuccino any one ?
