Leatherman Surge

I have never owned or used a Leatherman product so I did a lot of research before I decided on the Surge. The Wave gets a lot of love from users, particularly those that carry them on a belt or pocket. I'm not that kind of person. I have large hands, so the size was never going to be an issue. I noticed that a lot of YouTube reviewers who test a lot of EDC's consider the Surge as their favourite. It may be heavier and bit larger but every tool it has is that much sturdier. I like the detachable saw or file that can use 3rd party saw blades. I like that every tool locks. I also like the large sturdy scissors that are on one of the four outer slots. I also bought the bit driver set and the ratchet driver. The Surge is my "go to" tool for most everyday tasks.

I recently purchased this for my husband who recently had his inseparable pocketknife taken off him at the airport as on this occasion he was only travelling with a backpack. He had his previous traditional pocketknife for 33 years as this had been a gift on his 18th Birthday! Anyway, I had originally planned to replace the old style but instead I decided to surprise him with a new, dependable & modern Leatherman multitool! When I rang Equip Outdoors for advice, I dealt with Andre who was very knowledgeable, professional & helpful. Thankfully I made the right decision, as my husband was most impressed with the high quality, the 7 practical tools, the pouch & the 25 yr warranty. Lastly, I made an excellent saving of $35 as the price was better than my local store - So far so good - THANKS EQUIP OUTDOORS :)
