I have always had issues with 'standard' tent pegs. Being smooth, they pull out and of course as we all know, they bend so easily! For these reasons I decided to invest in some of these to give them a try. Firstly they go into the ground really easily - no bending. Secondly they stay there - no slipping out. Admittedly, when you do pull them up they don't come out cleanly, but that just confirms that they grip into the ground which will be a good thing when it gets stormy out there. Well worth a few bucks for peace of mind and less frustration.
